So, if youre smart, forward thinking, passionate and full of fresh ideas like we are, you could play your part in making it happen.As Depot Performance Analyst, youll play an important role in our depot by analysing technical incidents, collating the data to produce trends and reports and to display the data in a simple way thats easy to understand. You will work closely with the depot teams to identify to pinpoint the root causes of technical delays and support with the identification of containment and countermeasures. Youll keep accurate and up to date records of all delays and support both our depot teams and our Fleet Improvement Engineers. And youll present the data you collect daily, weekly and by period at performance meetings and daily depot meetings, while using it to help reduce the number of technical incidents. To join the team youll need a proven background as an analyst. Youll also need a good understanding of - or be willing to learn - a range of lean tools and techniques. These include Problem Solving (5 Why, Point of Cause, Direct Cause and Root Cause Analysis), 7 Quality Tools for data analysis, Visual Management, Visual Controls and A3 Reporting. You dont need specific engineering experience but some knowledge of train rolling stock, Train Operating Companies and Industry Partners, and an understanding of operational planning and performance in the context of the rail industry would be useful, but not essential. A good communicator and strong team player, youll also be comfortable using IT equipment. Youll have extensive knowledge of spreadsheets and databases.
