Job Description

The CompanyWe are delighted to be supporting a business whove been trading for over 100 years. With head office and manufacturing sites based in Newcastle they now supply to over 200,000 customers addition to producing white label products for a wider range of resellersThe RoleThe manufacturing and supply chain element of the business sources from a complex variety of origins and suppliers; preparing and packaging the product in a modern manufacturing facility on North Tyneside and then shipping to a number of select branded andprivate label customers via its own warehousing and distribution network.The business has enjoyed continued growth in sales and volume in recent years and is developing its systems and facilities to meet future needs. They areseeking to recruit an experienced Systems Development Manager to continually develop and improve our systems,with the aim of optimising process efficiency and providing relevant and timelydata to business managers.A mix of analytical, delivery and management skills are required as is an understanding of the manufacturing sector. You will take on improvement projects that have been identified by the current management team however it is expected that youll quickly generatemore work through review of current processes/systems. Working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and able to translate those into technical details for 3rd parties to develop.The PersonThe ideal candidate

  • Will likely be graduate qualified with a minimum of 3 years experience in a Manufacturing or Supply Chain Environment with sound knowledge of appropriate IT systems and processes
  • Will be capable of identifying system improvements, project managing implementation and delivering suitable user training
  • Will be expected to maintain expert knowledge of latest developments in Manufacturing and Supply Chain systems
  • Will have excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Will be based in the North-East and expected to work to a hybrid working model
