Job Description

The CompanyWe are delighted to be supporting a business whove been trading for over 100 years. With head office and manufacturing sites based in Newcastle they now supply to over 200,000 customers in addition to producing white label products for a wider range of resellersThe RoleThe manufacturing and supply chain division of the business sources ingredients and materials from a complex global supply base, converting these into a wide range of finished goods in a modern purpose built production facility, and distributes goods to variousoutlets across the country.The business has enjoyed continuous growth in sales and volume in recent years and is developing its systems and processes to meet future business needs.They seek an experienced Systems Development Manager to develop and improve systems and technology for the business. In particular;

  • Develop a fully integrated ERP system that enables seamless end to end transaction with minimal manual input.
  • Drive a digitalisation programme to improve data capture and display
  • Create data dashboards for managers is various settings
  • Provide lifecycle traceability for ingredients and finished goods
A mix of evaluation, delivery and analytical skills are required as is an understanding of manufacturing. You will drive improvement projects working closely with the current management team and reporting to director level. You will also manage all aspectsof relationship with external providers.The PersonThe ideal candidate
  • Will likely be graduate qualified with a minimum of three years experience in a manufacturing or supply chain setting with a sound knowledge of appropriate IT systems processes
  • Will be capable of evaluating needs, identifying system improvements and project managing delivery and user training
  • Will maintain expert knowledge of best practice and latest developments in manufacturing and supply chain systems
  • Will have excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Will be based in the North East and expected to work to a Hybrid working model
