Reporting directly to the Head of Talent & Development, this role will be focused on the continuous improvementof existing programs as well as the creation of new solutions to meet varied business and stakeholder needs. This is a challenging role which will require the ability to multitask, drive results in the face of ambiguity, provide the right amount of challengeand demonstrate genuine return on investment.This role would suit a Learning & Development professional looking to take their first step into management or an established Learning & Development manager looking to expand their remit and responsibilities. This is a true generalist Learning & Developmentrole which require all elements of the training cycle including delivery.This role offers hybrid working (50/50) and your hours can be worked between 8am and 6pm. Occasional travel to other sites (no more than twice a month) is required as part of this role and an annual car allowance of £3600 will be paid to cover this.Your Day-to-Day as a Senior Learning & Development Officer Work with the apprenticeship manager to ensure delivery of the first line manager development programme Manage the established senior leadership development programme including coaching, projects, masterclasses, logistics, stakeholders, delegates and professional qualification elements. Manage the formal training and qualification funding policy, and all requests for external training which fall outside of apprenticeships Manage the onboarding process for all new starters and embed the ongoing requirements of the in department training Ad hoc projects relating to any of the L&D provision which could include 360 feedback, psychometrics, soft skills training, management development, succession planning, sales development, systems training, apprenticeships, coaching, functional skills training,personal and professional development. Demonstrate a strong awareness of and commitment to Ethics and Compliance and the DCC Group Code of Conduct.Role Requirements Degree level / CIPD qualified Minimum 5 years experience in all aspects of Learning & Development Creative mindset with the ability to get things done Experience managing a team of trainers (desirable) Experience of driving projects through from conception to completion with measurable returns Focused on practical interventions that support business objectives, engage learners and stakeholders (desirable) Experience working with SuccessFactors (desirable)Whats in it for youIts important to us that our people love what they do and in turn we put together a benefits package that rewards a job well done.
