Job Description

Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a well established client in Durham who are looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team on a permanent basis.Working within a fast-paced, high performing team your duties will be:• Working with an international team with high volume invoice processing.• Liaise with suppliers and departments to ensure all queries relating to invoices are dealt withpromptly.• Creating Supplier payment runs, ensuring suppliers are paid to terms.• Supplier Ledger account reconciliation.• Posting & Reconciliation of company credit cards.• Handling Petty Cash.• Issue refunds to customers in a timely manner.• Assist the Management Accountant to ensure a smooth month end close.• Regular reporting to Head of Finance• Monitor and order non-stock consumables.• Assist with Finance emails and telephone calls.• Look for ways to improve systems and processes.• General housekeeping of accounts.• Adhoc tasks as required.You will need knowledge of all purchase ledger processes andexcellent communication skills, as well as this you will have:• Previous experience of working in accounts payable, preferably in a high-volume invoiceprocessing environment.• Flexible and able to meet multiple deadlines• Highly organised with a ‘can do’ approach• Confident, self-motivated with excellent attention to detail• A good knowledge of MS Excel• Excellent communication skillIf this sounds like the right role for you - please apply today!
