Job Description

Summary Were looking for a creative and experienced individual who can inspire and support our teams and projects, working collaboratively at various sites across the region to deliver high-quality, inclusive programming.This is an exciting opportunity for a visitor experience professional to help us find new ways for everyone to enjoy and connect with the rich culture, heritage, and nature we look after.Permanent, part time position (30 hours per week)Salary: £42,588 pro-rataInterviews: 1st, 2nd or 3rd March What its like to work here Youll join a region-wide team of internal consultants specialising in experiences, programming, interpretation, and partnerships, and be supported by a curatorial development programme offering a range of training opportunities.Youll also be working closely with a wider network of regional and national specialists, and together youll build great relationships with property teams to help them deliver fantastic experiences and grow support across a wide range of audiences.Youll be required to travel to properties within the region as appropriate, however youll be able to manage your working arrangements so that you have the flexibility to work from a range of locations as the role requires including properties, consultancyoffices and home. What youll be doing This varied role will provide insight into audiences and your expertise, collaborating on creative ideas about how to meet their needs. Youll support teams to facilitate more accessible and inclusive experiences that are engaging and social.Youll identify and develop partnerships to collaboratively explore innovative ways to use and animate our places. Youll act as a change-agent enabling properties to define their purpose, deepen understanding and inspire meaningful and emotional connectionsto our places.Youll work with colleagues to develop the regions approach to programming, evaluate impact, and share best practice.As part of the internal consultancy, youll help ensure we provide the best possible service to our places. Youll develop relationships with operational colleagues, partners, and stakeholders within and outside the region and be part of a cultural networkof practitioners.Please also read the full role profile, attached to this advert.   • Significant practical experience of delivering visitor experiences in a relevant sector
  • The ability to develop collaborative work with internal colleagues and external organisations
  • Strong consultancy skills, including listening, influencing and facilitation
  • A commitment to inclusive and diverse histories, programming, and engagement
  • Experience of commissioning or procuring services
  • Experience of undertaking, interpreting, and responding to research, management information and evaluation to better meet audience needs
  • Good understanding of the latest innovations in the cultural, natural environment and visitor attraction sector for potential adaptation and use at National Trust places
