Summary We have a rare opportunity for a Collections Officer to be part of the biggest restoration and conservation project in a generation for the National Trust.In April 2015 a huge blaze gutted the house atClandon Park, leaving it open to the skies. Our project seeks to bring the house back into use, creating a place to explore the history and making of a great houseyou can find out morehere.At this important time in Clandons history, youll be working with the materials rescued from the fire, from windows and decorative plaster fragments to oil paintings and furniture, managing this collection, its storage and object movements using our NationalTrust collections management system.Interview date: 2nd December What its like to work here Being in the damaged house and around the collection is a unique experience which comes with challenges but also with great opportunities. Youll be working across different places and the role is very hands-on.Youll be directly responsible for a team of volunteers, managing them to support you. Working closely with the Project Manager and project curators as well, youll work across the Clandon, Hatchlands and Wisley hub sites as well as at our stores. Youllenjoy being the person who knows where everything is and helping share that with others. What youll be doing
