Our people care, dare and collaborate to ensure we achieve this People Powered Living.This roleMetropolitan Thames Valley is looking for an enthusiastic Housing specialist to join as a Housing with Support Manager at one of our Later Living housing sites in Nottingham. This is a full-time role with a daily presence on site, MondayFriday.There is also a requirement to take part in an on-call rota once every 11 weeks. Due to the geographical spread of the area, it is required for applicants to have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.As the Housing with Support Manager your main responsibilities will include the safe and effective running of your services. You will be the single point of access for customers regarding all housing and support related queries. You will be a positiveand professional representation of the organisation, to customers, visitors, contractors, other professionals, and key stakeholders.All the customers are aged 55 and above requiring support to maintain a dignified level of independence. This includes a single service plus a number of residences in close proximity to the service, but living in the community. While none will bereceiving care from Metropolitan Thames Valley this may be provide by third parties and you will be a point of contact for these providersAs this is a secondment opportunity, you will be given full training and support to develop into the role as a Housing with Support Manager. What youll need to succeedAs you will be the on-site manager, experience is essential as you will be the go-to person. You will often be lone working and while there is a wider team to support you on a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for making the decision. To be consideredfor interview your CV must demonstrate: -1) Experience and awareness of the wellbeing and housing needs of vulnerable older persons2) The ability to take a positive approach to problem solving and be decisive in your own decisions3) A good understanding of Housing Management responsibilities and tenancy agreements rightsand obligations4) Knowledge and understanding of the relevant legislation relevant to this customer group5) Demonstrate a good understanding of customer service6) Good awareness of adult safeguarding procedures and responsibilitiesWhat youll get in returnYoull be working in a fast-paced environment where you can benefit from our comprehensive in-house training to continue developing your skills.
