Job Description

Payroll and Benefits Partner (FTC)Head Office - Whyteleafe, SurreyCompetitive salary + benefits that will get you excitedCan you drive a culture of continuous improvement Do you love championing and embedding customer-first decisions Can you spot opportunities and deliver solutions Do you want to work for a business run by Women for Women If yes, then we may have the role for you!We are looking for an experienced payroll specialist to deliver a successful, 100% accurate, high volume weekly and busy monthly manual payroll service within Ann Summers. Leading a small team daily, you will act as subject matter expert for all payroll, compensation and benefits related projects and lead on these where necessary. Full responsibility through your team for processing payroll start to finish - ensuring all statutory deductions (SMP, SPP, SSP etc) are made accurately and on time. This role sits within our amazing People & Talent team, who look after, engage, attract and develop all our fantastic people!So, what would you be doing...

  • Ensuring the accurate & timely completion of weekly & monthly payrolls for the UK & Ireland
  • Research, review and improve payroll systems & processes to ensure the highest levels of accuracy can always be achieved
  • Lead on all pension auto-enrolment including Liaison with the provider, calculations, uploads in-line with the payroll processes
  • Manage supplier relationships with third parties to ensure that we are getting the best possible deals on the benefits we provide to employees.
  • Ensuring compliance with payroll legislation and prompt completion of HMRC & other statutory returns
  • Put in place frameworks, controls and risk management so that all questions and queries are dealt with in a timely manner and documented correctly
  • Working closely with the wider People & Talent team, Customers and Finance to be a true Business Partner

  • Expertise in payroll with a qualification to back it up
  • A background in retail with a detailed understanding of the challenges of delivering a high-volume manual payroll process.
