Job Description

Cash & Reconciliations Team LeaderWere on the lookout for someone who is experienced within Cash andBanking in a Retail, Leisure or Hospitality environment to lead our small team of Cash and Rec Assistants. You will be meticulous in your approach, with a passion for getting the numbersright, and know what a good end to end Cash andRec process looks like.   • Daily reconciliation of credit/debit card transactions across Retail, Online, and Direct Selling
  • Daily reconciliation of allocated bank accounts requiring statement upload from bank to reconciling to general ledger resolving any unreconciled items, keeping them to an absolute minimum ensuring they are regularly reviewed
  • Monthly reconciliation of store floats including performing periodic safe audits, ensuring alignment with general ledger
  • Launch an investigation with a swift and satisfactory conclusion when discrepancies occur
  • Periodically review the budgeting of retail cash in-transit scheduling, efficiently minimising costs whilst remaining within acceptable levels of risk to the business
  • Support the Cash & Reconciliations Team, monitoring the end-to end process ensuring that individual team members performance meet agreed key performance indicators giving appropriate feedback
  • Manage the team to complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations for the bank accounts, ensuring that all transactions are recorded and reconciled accurately, any issues to be flagged and reviewed with the Finance Operations Manager
  • Optimise new and existing Cash & Reconciliations processes, updating or producing new documentation, ensuring that they are fit for training purposes
  • Maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, particularly with internal colleagues, banks, other associated financial facilitator partners and stores
Were looking for someone who has:
  • Previous experience in a Cash & Reconciliations role within a Retail, Hospitality or Leisure business
  • Previous experience of high-volume cash and credit card transactions, and reconciliation of multiple bank accounts
  • Genuine care for what they do and how well they do it
  • A make it happen approach and enjoys a fast pace and dynamic environment
