Lingerie BuyerBased at our Head Office in Whyteleafe, Surrey (just 15 minutes outside of Croydon, easily commutable from London)2 days in the office, 3 days working from home, enhanced by variable core hoursGreat benefits including company bonus, 50% staff discount and a day off for your Birthday!Were on the hunt for a passionate, creative and commercial Lingerie Buyer to join our B&M team, and support in the delivery of our exciting plans.   • Builds incredible collections, working closely with Design, Merchandising and the Tech team, utilising all financial tools available, challenging decisions where appropriate
  • Accountable for critical path and managing this on a weekly basis, ensuring the Buying Manager and Buying and Merchandising Director sign off ranges and product styling in line with deadlines.
  • Define a clear strategy and top-level thinking in planning the range with merchandising, ensuring that the thought process and plan for the range/options is clear taking into account all factors including profit, best and worst, etc.
  • Ensure that latest trends are captured in the collections, never missing a big trend that comes through from the catwalk, influencers, social media and celebs. Foresees future changes in trends and trading patterns and shares with the wider team.
  • Uses knowledge of economic and social trends and discusses ways to potentialize, making valuable recommendations to senior management
  • Spots any inconsistencies across departments that impact the brand and takes relevant action, flagging to those who it impacts
  • Takes a long-term view when planning, balancing short term trading with long term goals and contributes to the strategic vision and plans for the brand.
  • Gain market share and ensure we retain new customers by staying up to date with latest ranges and offers within the competition and understanding how what they do affects our decisions and actions
  • Plans and prioritises time to support their team, accountable for their coaching and development, giving them the tools and encouragement to be the best they can be
  • Influences senior management, challenging their views and adding value to their thinking by offering new ideas and solutions
  • Building and maintaining great relationships with stakeholders across the business and ensuring the team do the same
