Job Description

Do you want to be a valued part of the critical infrastructure that serves communities across Europe and beyond Are you looking for a position in which you can set direction and help shape our company If so, then you could be the newest addition to ourteam as Marketing Manager.Be part of the movement – and play your partAbout the roleYou will be a part of a newly shaped global onboard marketing team whose purpose is to promote and maximize profits for all onboard services - travel retail, food and hotel - across our global passenger ferry routes.As a part of a general globalization of the onboard service organization, the marketing team is in a process of transitioning from local to a global operation. That means that you will join an exciting development journey with the aim of standardizing waysof working and raising our level of functional marketing excellence across all ferry routes.You will be a key senior player and have local ownership and responsibility while at the same time owning or taking part in global brands, projects or operations working across routes and destinations in order run our global concepts efficiently and strengthenand develop our marketing operations and offerings.You will be responsible for:

  • Own and drive the insights- and KPI-driven planning process for onboard marketing activities for the Channel routes and execute on plans together with your team of two Marketing Coordinators and other stakeholders.
  • Own the customer journey map and overview and work closely together with local passenger marketing team to make sure that we are taking advantage of all relevant channels to drive awareness, interest, desire and conversions for our onboard services as wellas providing the customer with a seamless and inspiring experience.
  • Be the brand owner of all the local route onboard brands plus one or two global brands or concepts. And together with relevant stakeholders, make sure that the brands are developed, maintained and implemented to standards locally and globally. Also, thatthey are translated to marketing material and advertised strategically smart and consistently in all relevant channels of the consumer journey.
  • Oversee budgeting, reporting and management of creative outsourced activities related to your routes.
  • Manage and motivate a small team of two marketing coordinators. And work and allocate tasks in monday.com to make sure that the team priorities and work on the stuff that matters and drives most value to the business.
You will be working from the Dover office reporting to the Head of Onboard Marketing based in Copenhagen. And you will be included in a strong sparring partnership with three other MarketingManagers responsible for other local routes and teams or different global marketing operations or development projects within OBS marketingAbout youYou will hold a relevant educational background and at least 5 years of marketing experience working in a strategic role, this could be with an agency or advertiser. As this will be looking after a team with direct reports, we would prefer you to have experienceof working in management or have proven ready to progress into a a management role.

  • Digital marketing and MarTech experience and strong understanding is a plus as we will have strong focus on developing our digital presence and channels moving forward.
  • Able and willing to travel on your routes to understand the business and your stakeholders.
