Our client is a thriving logistics company based in Dover. They are a global leading company specialising in fast and efficient logistics solutions across a wide range of industries. Due to continued expansion, they are now looking to acquire the servicesof an experienced Kitchen Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager who has the drive to push this brand-new facility to the next level and put our client on the map with, not only the regular customers who park there but with thewider community. The ideal candidate will have needed to have worked as a Chef previously. For the successful candidate, the company offers 30 days holiday (including 8 BHs) rising to 33 with service along with other fantastic benefits.Main Responsibilities:* Lead on all aspects of kitchen operations, including stock control, safety, service, training and maintenance* Development and continuous improvement of food production* Operational management of the kitchen team* Responsibility for customer satisfaction, quality of food and service* Fiscal control of kitchen budgets, including labour and cost of goods* Create and update menus* Covering for the chef role where necessaryKey Skills & Experience:* Strong technical and learning aptitude in relation to hospitality, to create and develop new concepts and ideas* Ability to motivate and inspire people at all levels to build a high-achieving team* Strong management skills* Problem-solving and decision-making skills* Four years of experience working in restaurants, hotels, function centres or multi-outlet operations* Previously worked as a chef* A broad and in-depth understanding of hospitality including local and industry trends, key suppliers and customers* Regulatory and legal compliance knowledge with a strong understanding of implications to the business* Detailed knowledge of financial management of food operations - managing budgets, labour cost forecasting, sales analysis and reportingAdditional Information:* Please note this is a full-time permanent role working Monday to Friday 45 hours per week.
