Our client is a thriving logistics company based in Dover. They are a global leading company specialising in fast and efficient logistics solutions across a wide range of industries. Due to continued expansion, they are now looking to acquire the servicesof a customer-focused, professional Logistics Coordinator to work in their team. The ideal candidatewill have a strong transport/logistics background. For the successful candidate, the company offers 30 days holiday (including 8 BHs) rising to 33 with service along with other fantastic benefits.Main Responsibilities:* Liaise with international carriers to agree transport costs and ensure the best possible solutions are found to fit the clients requirements* Tender job revenues to clients, ensuring a bespoke solution is found for them, best fitting their request, and offering different transport solutions where applicable* Monitor the progression of transports, advising the client at agreed milestones and ensuring the transports are running to schedule* Ensure the bespoke transportation management system is correctly monitored and updated when required* Build excellent relationships with multinational clients who are under immense pressure* Answer incoming telephone calls professionally and deal with enquires quicklyKey Skills & Experience:* Previous experience within a Logistics/Freight based role is desirable but not essential with the right mindset* Ability to have a systematic approach to high work volumes when necessary and prioritise workload appropriately.* Basic knowledge of using Microsoft products such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.* Excellent telephone manner.Additional Information:* Working hours are Monday - Friday, 9-hour rotating shifts between 07:00 - 19:00.(Please get in touch for more information)* Additional leave with length of service* Company events* Company pension* Cycle to work scheme* Death in service benefit (following completion of probation)* Discounted or free food* Free Parking* Wellness programmeIf you would like to apply for this opportunity, please submit an up-to-date CV to including details about your current or most recent salary and your availability/notice period.
