They provide high quality goods throughout the UK and internationally.About the Technical Manager jobThe purpose of your role will be to drive BRCGS standards and systems throughout the site plus continuously review and improve existing procedures throughout the production & warehouse processes.Key tasks

Lead and implement all company’s food safety processes as well as leading external standards i.e BRCGS, Organic, Halal and Kosher certifications whilst ensure all products are manufactured to agreed finished product specification. Conduct swabbing / takesamples in accordance with site procedures.
Managing all food safety processes, including allergens, pest control etc and providing accurate details documentation amongst monitoring and maintaining supplier service approval.
Lead monthly management meetings to address food safety, quality and legal concerns and investigate any incoming complaints and take corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence and effectively liaise with customer representatives on technical issues to maintainestablished working relationships.
Daily checks and completion of all records relating to the food safety management system as well as annual product recall / withdrawal testing.
Induction, training, and screening of all new employees.
Support company buyer ensuring all raw material specifications are the correct version and are adequate, and shelf-life testing of new and existing products.

About YouWe are looking for a self-motivated, confident and experienced technical individual with previous food manufacturing experience. You will need to have experience of BRC and implementing systems, also be prepared to be hands on in the factory. Once establishedin the role an opportunity to recruit a part-time QA Tech for support shall be available.

Previous experience within the food manufacturing industry is vital for this role.
Influencing skills - must be able to challenge existing systems (and people) to bring about improvement.
Strong communicator when dealing with customers technical management.
Established technical and food safety knowledge.
Good experience of BRCGS standards and systems.
Ideally you will be a Lead Auditor with NEBOSH / IOSH Qualifications plus Advanced HACCP and Food Hygiene certifications.
