Purchase/Sales Ledger ClerkOur client is a global leader in its field supplying to the automotive sector. Due to growth this is a newly created position. The business offers a great working environment. This is a full time role but candidates who are looking to work part-time willbe considered.You will be working within a small finance team in Whetstone, and a part of wider Finance Team located in America and China. You will be reporting directly to the Management Accountant.The role will cover all aspects of an accounts ledger clerk. It is essential that you are looking for a role that will offer wider business exposure and that you are also comfortable working with none finance staff.In this significant post, duties will include but are not confined to the following: Sales invoices and purchase invoices entry for UK and foreign companies Process and reconcile credit card transactions Completing bank reconciliations Bank payments Aged debt and aged creditors analysis (credit control) General enquiries - sales and purchases. Assisting with Month end processes. Assisting with VAT Returns. Setting up new accounts (clients and suppliers). Supporting the Management Accountant directly and other non finance staff. Potential option for completion of Payroll depending on experience Assisting in other ad hoc finance related activitiesEssential skills: Excellent communication skillsGood proficiency with excel, experience with Sage 50Cloud preferred but not essential Good analytical skills Confident and self-motivated Ability to work under pressure
