Maintenance EngineerWe are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Preventative Maintenance Engineer to join our market leading client based in Leicestershire. As a Preventative Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance andlongevity of a wide range of construction, agricultural, industrial, heavy line, and recycling equipment. Your primary responsibilities will involve conducting machine plant servicing, repairs, and implementing preventative maintenance measures.Job Duties:

• Conduct regular servicing and maintenance of construction, agricultural, industrial, heavy line, and recycling equipment to ensure proper functioning and minimize downtime.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely manner, adhering to industry standards and manufacturer guidelines.
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to identify potential equipment failures and prevent breakdowns, thereby maximizing equipment uptime.
• Perform routine inspections, identify worn-out parts, and recommend replacement or repair options to optimize equipment performance and minimize costs.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including service reports, equipment maintenance logs, and spare parts inventory.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to source and order required spare parts and maintain inventory levels to support efficient maintenance operations.
• Stay updated on industry advancements, new technologies, and equipment specifications to enhance your technical knowledge and improve maintenance processes.
• Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and operators regarding equipment operation, maintenance best practices, and safety protocols.
• Comply with health and safety regulations, ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out safely and promoting a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and external service providers as necessary to coordinate repairs, obtain technical support, and ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues.

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Preventative Maintenance Engineer or similar role, with a focus on servicing and repairing construction, agricultural, industrial, heavy line, and recycling equipment.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of heavy machinery.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices and techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work under pressure.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members, customers, and suppliers.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Valid drivers license and the flexibility to travel to customer sites, as required.

Salary & Hours:

• Competitive Salary, pay is dependent on knowledge/experience/skill level.
• Guaranteed overtime available at an enhanced premium rate: 1.5% up to 4 hours OT daily, 2x over 4 hours daily
• 40 hours per week working the following shift pattern: Monday-Friday 08:00am - 16:30pm
