Development Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a retail industry manufacturing company who are looking for Development Engineers from a similar background.

Design and develop new products to expand the companies range of products
Removal/Refit of stock induction systems for measurement and scanning
Occasional work on vehicles, removing stock induction systems for testing and development
Create 3D CAD models / 2D drawings
Prototype creation
Liaising with suppliers to obtain quotations and ensure the smooth delivery of production parts
Occasionally attending shows and events to represent the company.
Operation of design equipment (Laser scanner,3D printers).

Essential Skills

3+ years’ experience working within the design/automotive industry.
Experience using 3D CAD design software.
Experienced in product development, from customer design requests to production
Ability to prioritise workload & manage external inputs/requests, excellent communication, and co-ordination skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
Excellent technical aptitude
Previous experience of engineering projects/activities
Problem-solving on existing products and product improvement
You will have a good ability to use your own initiative, manage your own workload and projects
Have a working knowledge of proprietary PC software such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Salary - Up to 50K DOE
