Job Description

We want our visit to be playful, accessible and inclusive across the museum, garden and house. Working in a wonderful building allows you to see sights membersof the public do not have the opportunity to see, from working in out attic spaces to down in the basement.This role is required to work with vulnerable groups including children and any offer of employment or volunteering is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.Youll be working on rota basis across the 7 day week. Working in collaboration with other departments to assist in the overall experience at The Children’s Country House.The Childrens Country House incorporating The Museum of Childhood is a delight for all ages with something for everyone. Children can discover something new, or relive nostalgic memories by exploring the childhoods of times gone by, make stories, play withtoys and share your childhood with others. What youll be doing As the Facilities Assistant, youll assist with the day to day operation, cleanliness and presentation of the National Trust’s buildings and outdoor spaces.You will turn a practical hand to general maintenance work, ensuring all our facilities are keptin good working order.Helping and communicating with other teams on a day to day basis.Regular janitorial duties such as cleaning, sweeping, litter picking together with porterage will form a core part of your role, both inside and outdoors, ensuring our health and safety compliancemonitoring is recorded accordingly.You’ll ensure the highest standards of customer service across the area by always implementing a ‘customer comes first’ attitude.Please also read the full role profile attached to this advert.
