Summary An exciting opportunity to lead the Business Services function at this busy children centred heritage experience. You will shape the daily operation by creating processes that make the property run efficiently, maximise income to support the experience developmentand ensure great customer service is given to all visitors. What its like to work here The Childrens Country House at Sudbury is a brand-new visitor offer for children and families, offering a playful heritage day out.We opened in Spring of 2022, and were recruiting to add to our existing team.Over the past few years, Sudburys familyaudience has grown substantially, and children are vitally important to our future.Weve worked alongside children and their families to design a heritage attraction that works for them and makes them feel engaged and empowered.Every member of our team willbe focused on the key goal of engaging children with heritage and making our work as playful, accessible and inclusive as possible.We have the highest standards of conservation and care for our collections and buildings, and we carry out this purpose withand for the children who visit us.Our offer is unique, deeply authentic and profoundly impactful as is the team that work here. What youll be doing Leading this crucial on-property team, youll manage a small number of staff and volunteers ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards. Youll be confident challenging current procedures and finding better and quicker ways of doing things andconstantly looking for ways to add value to all visitor experiences.Youll oversee the development of the pre and post visit pack process which is a large part of the extended visitor experience and youll support with growing our school offer which is a large part of our mid-week operation. Youll also support with seasonalprogramming, assisting with booking and contract writing for creative artists that we work with.Youll support teams on property with important regular tasks such as recruitment, training and reporting, as well as lead on most of the financial tasks for the whole property. Youll always champion best practice when it comes to business services, andwill be comfortable taking responsibility for overseeing policies and procedures.
