Job Description

Stores Person/ Bench Technician LE7 Day shift Up to £25,000 DOESF Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Stock Controller/ Bench Technician to work for a growing business in LE7. As the stock controller you will be responsible for booking all stock receipts and issues, purchase orders, stock transfers and adjustmentsin real time as well as helping on the bench with tasks such as assembly and soldering. Stock control  Keep Protean up to date on a daily basis, booking all stock receipts and issues, purchase orders, stock transfers and adjustments in real time. Maintain supplier records as required.  Ensure that all warehouses are up to date on Protean.  Monitor stock needs for parts using the company rolling stock forecast  Place appropriate purchase orders with suppliers to fulfil the requirements of the stock forecast, giving consideration to expected lead times.  Liaise with suppliers on a regular basis to ensure their deliveries remain on track to fulfil our requirements, flagging any issues that may arise as soon as they are known.  Maintain stock levels of all bought in stock items and consumables within agreed maximum and minimum levels.  Ensure credits are received from suppliers for faulty goods or goods not to specification, or for incorrectly priced goods.  Ensure that all stock adjustments, write-offs and free issues are fully authorised Store management  Store stocks, components and supplies in an organised manner.  Keep the store in a clean and tidy condition at all times, with a place for everything and everything in its place.  Limit access to the store to authorised personnel only inside and outside working hours.  Comply with relevant health and safety procedures, including lifting and working at heights.  Take action to dispose of faulty and obsolete items, where appropriate, in accordance with the WEEE directive (preparing any relevant documentation).  Prepare all documentation needed for exports - Certificate of Origin etc. Goods inwards control  Check all items against order and ensure quantities are correct and goods undamaged.  Enter details on to Protean.  Check supplier invoices against order, and approve according to company procedures.  Claim credits from suppliers for faulty goods or goods not to specification, or for incorrectly priced goods.  Receive parts returned from customers under warranty and log on to job established by the Customer Service Administrator on Protean. Quality Control  Aid/implement improvements in quality control procedures.  Monitor the quality of returns and communicate appropriately to the wider management team.  Test check stock in accordance with quality control procedures.  Appropriately log results of checks.  Assist in the management of non-conformances and ensure due process is followed. Stock issues from store  Enter parts orders on Protean, pick, despatch to customers and [for PTY] invoice.  Send parts replaced under warranty to customers on a free of charge basis.  Pick and pack installation parts and despatch to designated installation engineers, transferring stock on Protean. Parts repair and assembly  Maintain the assembly area in a clean and tidy condition at all times.  Assemble and test batches of parts according to company procedures, using the kit build facility on Protean.  Test faulty parts returned by customers and engineers and re-work when appropriate to do so in accordance with company procedures.
