Job Description

Salary: Band 8. £33,039 - £37,584 per annum Location: Agile, predominantly based from Ponteland Police Station Hours/Contract: Full time, fixed term / secondment until August 2024The roleHere at Northumbria Police, we think our region is amazing! It takes a great deal of people from different backgrounds, with diverse skills and experience to serve our force area effectively, think you have what it takes to help us make a difference Thiscould be the perfect time for you to join us in our Force Coordination and Operations Department as an FCC Coordinator.FCC Coordinators are responsible for coordinating staff ensuring accurate records are maintained of resources and skills of all officers and staff within their allocated Area Command or Department.Coordinators will be skilled in Resource Management System and will ensure that current operational resource levels are reflected correctly within the system.Coordinators represent the Force Coordination Centre (FCC) working within specified areas of business to provide strategic and tactical resourcing support and advice, enabling a centralised approach and understanding of resource levels and skills.What you will do

  • Liaise with business area leads and team supervisors providing support and advice to ensure the effective management of resources across the Area Command & Department as a whole.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of Department resources and skill levels identifying any gaps or problem areas. Ensure records are updated in all Force Computer Systems and accurately reflect officer/team functions and deployable resource levels.
  • Manage abstractions for training and future annual leave and agree regularly with Senior Management Teams authorised levels in line with Force Guidelines or policy.
  • In conjunction with the FCC Analyst, consider flexible working applications taking into account not only the impact on team and Area Command / Department resourcing but also any impact on Force requirements. Make recommendations to the relevant SMT lead.Ensure flexible patterns are reviewed in line with Force Procedure.
What you will bring:
  • Wide range of IT and administrative skills including competence in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in a customer service role.
  • Ability to clearly present and explain data.
  • Demonstrate experience of recording information and maintaining accurate records.
  • Demonstrate experience of using own initiative to identify problems and find solutions.
