CurrentlyLWC Drinks employ 1400 people and have 16 depots across the UK as well as a Support Centre and Hub distribution centre based in Chadderton, Manchester.Job Title: Trainee Account Manager (North Yorkshire) Reports To: Sales ManagerLWC are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual possibly looking for their first role either in Field Sales or the Drinks Wholesale sector. Reporting directly to the Sales Manager you will undergo a comprehensive training programme on all aspects of the Account Manager role which will enable you to positively negotiate deals and pricing, identify distribution gaps and brand opportunities and proposestructured plans to increase business share. Ideally, you will have a good academic background, a natural ability to build relationships with customers and sound commercial awareness. LWC are more interested in the calibre and potential of the individual as opposed to your background. You may currentlybe in bar management, recruitment, telesales or field sales and looking to build a career in on trade sales.Objectives of the job:• To deliver the pre-agreed budgeted margin for your allocated account portfolio.• To increase the number of trading customers in the post code area by achieving a pre-agreed new business target.• To retain the existing customer base and grow sales and in account through category up-selling.Key Responsibilities:• Deliver your contribution of the depot gross margin.• Manage the debt ledger for your area, including correct completion of company account forms and the timely collection of cash where appropriate.• Delivering targets on drive brands with brand partners along with key categories such as wine and our own Signature Brands portfolio.• Over delivering on every aspect of customer service you can affect.• To have the overriding responsibility, duty of care and management of your accounts from start to finish.• Liaise effectively with all other departments including telesales, credit control, sales support, distribution and administration.• Consulting with customers to offer impartial advice on promotional activity to help them grow their businesses.• Liaising with brand representatives currently operating in your area.Key Skills:• Excellent customer service skills.• Use of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc)• Good teamwork skills but the ability to operate on your own in trade.• Strong and confident communication and relationship building skills.• Basic understanding of the drinks industry, products and the on-trade market.We can offer you: a competitive salary, 20% targeted bonus, a company car, an iPhone, i-Pad and laptop.
