Job Description

We are working on behalf of our client who is a producer of food products for the food service, manufacturing and retail segments, and who are looking to hire a new Managing Director for their commercial and manufacturing operations in Yorkshire.The ideal candidate needs to be sound commercially, both on sales and purchases, as the role will be responsible primarily for overseeing the purchase of the raw materials, the sales of the finished products and taking our clients food production businessinto new product areas. They require somebody who is a genuine team player who leads from the front, and comes with a proven track record of developing new and existing business, and managing a P&L, within the food industry.The person will need to be liked and respected by staff, suppliers and customers alike, building on what they currently have and adding other directions, dimensions and products; ultimately ensuring a healthy cashflow and operating profit.This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a thriving food manufacturing business with huge growth potential and an established team and track record in the market.Qualifications:

Proven track record of developing new and existing business within the food industry.
Previous experience managing a P&L, and managing customers, suppliers and staff.
Knowledge and experience of food administration regulations, compliance and Trade Organisations.
Experience of working with Boards to develop strategies, KPI’s and budgets.
Knowledge and previous experience of operational finance requirements, practices and accounting systems
Strong communication and engagement skills.

What Our Client Offers:Salary to be up to circa £100 - £150k pa depending on experience plus bonuses, which could take earnings over £250k if results are achieved.
