Job Description

This is a permanent role working 4 on 4 off nights for a market leading business. A leading multi model logistics business is looking for a Transport Planner to join their Doncaster office. As an experienced Transport Planner you will assist in planning routes; managing drivers and ensuring the fleet are maintained.As a Transport Planner you will assist with the nightly running of vehicles to ensure prompt and on time deliveries to customers. You will be required to update transport systems to track vehicle, trailer and job status to meet delivery timings. You willensure vehicles and trailers are serviced and MOTd before being used and assist drivers in managing their hours and break requirements to be compliant at all times. You will also be required to assist drivers and customers with queries and any issues thatarise during a route.The right candidate will have similar experience in a transport environment; ideally with knowledge of containers. Ideally the person will be confident; strong communicator and able to work under pressure. It would also be an advantage if you have worked withTransport Software.The role will be based in their Doncaster depot and the working hours will be on a permanent night shift 4 on 4 off (6pm-6am or 7pm-7am). On offer is a salary of £30,000 - £32,000 per annum depending on experience as well as a number of companybenefits. The role will have the opportunity to increase salary to £34,000 - £36,000 per annum following a successful 6 month probationary period.
