Job Description

Established in 1930 KCS Group is a leading supplier of products and services to the many sectors globally from education, private through to public. KCS Group has a collection of 10 brands in the market with 2 locations in the UK and over 200 employees.This new role has been created to support KCS’s rapid expansion and growth with these fundamental approaches at its core: Data-smart, digital-first and evidence-based.As a Group Analyst, you will be an integral part of this growth, keeping our customer-centric approach and driving greater productivity by supporting business information systems that provide solutions to a variety of business issues across multiple departments as we develop out new propositions from idea through to customer launch.Working in an agile environment, you will be bringing energy to our strategies on key change for the business. This is a dynamic and fast-moving place to work, and with so many moving parts, you will need to be engaging, persuasive and have the ability to bring teams together for the common goal.A hands-on approach is needed as in this role you will be the bridge between the business functions and technical teams, working with stakeholders to ensure we achieve KCS Group’s vision.Key Duties Include:

  • Analyse the structure of KCS’s business units, how it uses technology and what its goals are to ensure activities are aligned
  • Identify problems within the business, including through using data modelling techniques
  • Communicate with Senior business leaders to find out what they hope to achieve, this will include business heads, department leads and the executive team
  • Formulate ways for businesses to improve, based on previous research, trends or data
  • Drive internal and external stakeholders of the benefits of new technology or strategies
  • Analyse and model data to produce conclusions in line with relevant project/activity
  • Create suggestions and recommendations for strategic and operational changes, considering opportunities and risks of these
  • Develop processes necessary to implement these changes, or alter existing ones
  • Communicate with senior management about introducing recommendations to the business
  • Write reports to present to stakeholders at all levels
  • Support staff as solutions are implemented using change models such as ADKAR (Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability and Reinforcement) to begin the change process before handing over the relevant business leads. This will be on change derived from recommendations made or that are necessary to be data-smart, digital-first or evidence-based
  • Evaluate the impact of changes made
  • Review the optimum structure for the Group and provide recommendations for improvement
  • KCS Group performance centre analysis with focus on red, amber, green metrics/KPIs with a view to recommend business focus, activities or changing approaches
  • Mergers and Acquisition analysis, recommendations and reporting in line with Commercial finance business partner
  • Utilise excel extensively for data mining, analysis and information presentation
  • Involvement with the KCS group Profit and Loss reports, budget setting process, target setting process and overall financial performance
  • Support and sometimes own CRM data management and implementation before handing over the business Managers to take responsibility of these for their areas
  • Working closely with our finance team and Commercial Manager to developing cost estimate models and resource requirements for strategic opportunities, acquisitions, bids and group commercial activities
  • Helicopter view of the whole enterprise when reviewing processes, objectives, strategies
  • Collaborating with and instructing the business intelligence team in regards to KCS’s requirements. KCS utilises many reports and will continue to require specific trend and performance data to enable effective decision making
  • Supporting business leads with their objectives in becoming data-smart by sharing best practice and providing guidance on business intelligence requirements
