Job Description

Purchasing Assistant£23,5004 Days OnsiteYolk Recruitment are working with a dynamic and growing company in the healthcare industry, committed to providing high-quality products and services to their customers. This role will be operating within their supply chain team, working closely with thebuyer and supply chain coordinator.Role Overview:I am seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join my client to help assist in managing their procurement processes. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, this role involves overseeing specific suppliers, optimising costs, and contributing to the enhancement oftheir procurement operations.Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing supplier relationships and requirements throughout the procurement process.
  • Updating and maintaining the MRP system with the latest information.
  • Responding to demand fluctuations and mitigating associated risks.
  • Generating and analysing daily reports to facilitate decision-making.
  • Initiating Purchase Orders and Call Off Orders as necessary.
  • Monitoring stock levels to support sales and ensure efficiency.
  • Identifying and pursuing cost-saving opportunities with current suppliers.
  • Developing market awareness and providing technical support to the sales team.
  • Upholding ethical practices within our supply chain and promoting professional conduct.
Requirements:
  • Skills/Knowledge - Strong attention to detail, numerical proficiency, and excellent communication skills. Familiarity with SAGE ERP system is advantageous.
  • Experience - Demonstrated experience in procurement practices and processes is preferred.
  • Personal Qualities - Proactive, team-oriented, capable of independent work, and upholding high integrity.
