An exciting opportunity has become available for a talented Recruiter to join thebigword family.This role will be predominantly working from home however in the future there will be a requirement to attend the Leeds office on an ad-hoc basis for meetings, training etc.The RoleAs part of the role you work closely with the TBW Global Team. TBW Global is committed to delivering a managed service for significant players in the Defence/Security Sector. We aim to do this by placing professional contractors/freelancers wherever ourclients require them.We work with a large range of clients within the Defence, Security & Intelligence Sector both Public and Private. Clients who we are able to name include; MOD, DOD, NATO etc.It is important to note that a Recruiter working within the Talent Acquisition team should expect to work on a variety of recruitment requests. You may be asked to recruit for freelancers within the Language Services Industry (interpreters, translators aroundthe world) as well as handling requests coming in for high-ranking military officers being requested as subject matter experts in the field.Key responsibilities of the position include:

• Be Responsible for Recruiting SME roles for both current and new clients in the defence and security sectors.
• Source and pro-actively recruit 1st class candidates for new business opportunities
• Be responsible for screening high volumes of candidates for multiple programmes at one time
• Pro-actively research new markets, countries, rates, competitors for new business to help shape bids/tenders
• Undertake detailed in-depth interviews both on Microsoft Teams and face to face ensuring you are selecting the most suitable candidates for roles
• Be responsible for creating strong relationships with all candidates, creating loyalty and continued project involvement
• Ensuring you have a good understanding of our clients and their needs so that you can best place candidates
• Responsible for ensuring the compliance of the candidates you recruit and on-board. Which includes document collection and carrying out ID verification using specific technology and software.
• Effectively network both online and off-line to maintain and shape the company brand and reputation
• Use available advertising tools to attract top talent
• Introduce innovation and new ideas to the team in relation to recruitment activities/recruitment methods
• Participate in webinars, Q&A and meet & greet sessions run by thebigword Group
• Liaise closely with key stakeholders around the business, providing regular updates and keeping up to date with company changes that may have an effect on your recruitment requirement.
• Actively look at conferences, seminars, events to attend that will keep you up to speed with the Recruitment market
• Provide weekly reports to the Global Head of Recruitment & Talent Acquisition on Recruitment activity
• Work closely with the Head of Recruitment to reduce time-to-hire and suggestions on ways to improve our current processes

Key Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:Essential requirements

• Proven work experience as a Recruiter
• Experience recruiting subject matter experts in a variety of different sectors for example, Trainers/instructors/military officers/engineers & security experts
• Experience handling multiple requests and open positions/contracts at one time
• Have worked within a fast paced, changing environment, working to tight deadlines
• Be target driven
• Already have in place a professional network of individuals
• Exceptional Communication skills
• Fantastic organisational skills with the ability to manage your own time effectively
• Hands on experience with all forms of interviewing
• Inquisitiveness (Being confident to ask questions of the Business Development team, Operations and other key players within the business.
• Be a self starter with the ability to motivate yourself as well as others

Desirable requirements

• Have an available network of international individuals (globally)
• Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems
• Have a passion for the Defence & Security Sector as well as the Language Industry
• Fluency or working proficiency in a second language, desirable languages include (Dutch, Arabic, Spanish)
