Job Description

REED Further Education are working with a college in Birmingham who are looking for a Computing and IT lecturer to teach BTEC level 3, level 2, RQF level 3 and T levels in IT and Computing.There is a 22 hour timetable available over 5 days with travel required between two campuses based at Digbeth and Longbridge Birmingham. They are looking for someone to cover for initially 6 weeks to begin with, but could be required for longer.If the candidate in a the temporary position is a great fit they could be encourage to apply for a permanent position.Job Title: Computing and IT LecturerDuration: Initially for 6 weeks and may be extended past thatSalary: £25 - £30 per hour including holiday payLocation: Digbeth and Longbridge, BirminghamPosition: Temporary, part-time, 22 hoursThe successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • A relevant teaching qualification e.g PGCE, Cert Ed, etc.
  • Experience of delivering a variety of IT and Computing modules.
  • Ability to develop learning resources.
  • Effective curriculum and lesson planning which meets individual needs is essential.
  • Engaging and motivating both individuals and learner groups.
  • Experience working with post-16 students.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service.
