They are recognised across the industry as the UKs leading independent manufacturer and are continually creating innovative designs made possible by consistent investment in the latest technology, in improving the skills of their people and in developing brands that broaden their range and market appeal.They are looking for an experienced Quality & Compliance Assistant to report directly to the Group Quality Manager, providing the support necessary to ensure all aspects of the sites Quality / Environment and FSC procedures are maintained, adhered to, and continuously improved.You will investigate problems with suppliers products. Liaise with suppliers to express concerns about the product, arrange uplift of the product when necessary. You will record batch production pass / reject rates identify faults and compare with previous batches. You will also reply to customer requirements.Desired skills- You will ensure the FSC database is continually updated and host external auditors whilst audits are performed in line with ISO standards. - You will have proven experience of working within Quality. - A working knowledge and understanding of ISO standards.- Knowledge of remote supplier quality management.- Strong interpersonal skills to enable delivery of challenging targets and excellent communication skills to be able to communicate at all levels.- Able to work accurately whilst under pressure and work as part of a team and on own initiative.- Excellent literacy, numeracy & IT skills.Benefits include- 23 days holiday + 8 bank holidays- NEST pension- Competitive salary2 minute walk from the Bede Metro Station
