A large part of the role involves working on offshore windfarm development survey projects. You will work on a diverse range of projects currentlyspanning across the UK, Ireland and the USA, monitoring the marine wildlife present in the regions of interest with the overall objective to feed ornithological and marine wildlife data in to environmental impact assessments (EIAs).This role provides an exciting opportunity to work with and obtain knowledge of seabird and marine megafauna ecology and behaviour.About the roleOne of the main roles of the Marine Division is to organise, undertake and analyse aerial surveys of birdsparticularly offshore. Coupled with this is the need for expert advice and interpretation, including EIA and HRA. The team uses robust science tofind solutions for both the private and public sectors.You will be responsible forproviding advice to clients on ornithology / marine megafauna issues relating to large infrastructure projects and will deliver statisticalanalysis of ornithological / marine mammal data.The Senior Marine Wildlife Survey Consultant will provide marine wildlife consultancy services to clients; dealing with all aspects of the consultancy process, bringing in new projects through to production of high quality scientific report outputs and maintaininggood relationships with clients.About youBeing an experienced consultantin a relevant sector,you will possess good knowledge of a wide range of subjects within the marine field or marine ecology space,or have an understanding of marine wildlife.The ability to produce high quality work (including data analysis and report writing) within tight deadlines will be required of you.Flexibility, reliability and excellent communication skills are also required as you will be managing a team across variouslocations.
