About the roleAPEM are looking to recruit an experienced graduate civil engineer that is looking to take the next step in their career, to join our growing environmentally focussed engineering design team. The successful candidate will work on a range of interesting andexciting projects, with a focus on fish passes, river restoration projects and natural flood management schemes for a wide client base that includes government agencies, water utility companies, wildlife and river trusts and private clients. APEMs engineeringprojects extend from initial site assessments and feasibility studies, through to full detailed design.This role will provide the opportunity to work alongside APEMs engineers as well as our industry-renowned aquatic and environmental scientists on challenging and rewarding projects and will enable the successful candidate to bring significant benefits tothe aquatic environment and river habitats across the British Isles.About youAs an experienced Graduate Civil Engineer you will hold a relevant BEng or MEng degree and hold previous experience (up to 2-3 years) working in an engineering role.You will have an interest and previous experience in working on engineering projects that benefit the aquatic environment. This may include civil engineering design, hydraulic structures, flood risk management, use of natural materials for river restorationor erosion protection.You will work as part of our established team on a variety of interesting projects helping to deliver a rage of outputs including feasibility and options appraisal reports, design calculations and scheme drawings at outline and detailed design stage. Youwill have the opportunity to work with APEMs experienced engineering staff, with supervision available when needed, but you will also have the drive and talent to progress with elements of work independently where appropriate.Required skills:
