Job Description

Employer description: APH is an IT Managed Service Provider with our head office in Cheshire, UK, very close to Manchester.We have been focussed on providing IT solutions to support our clients requirements.We pride ourselves on being a people focussed employer with an opportunity for successful applicants to grow with our company as we achieve the ambitious plans that we have for the future.Overview: As a Helpdesk Analyst, your role will be to engage with clients in the provision of aftercare and support, and to do so with the emphasis on excellence for APH as our service level agreements.Salary: £17,000 per annum.Key Responsibilities: Actively engage with existing and new clients at APH as directed toinclude:

  • Providing support to clients asrequired
  • Monitoring the correct logging, research resolution of customer queries/changerequests
  • Ensuring team adherence to SLAs by handling escalated issues asappropriate
  • Overseeing support systems to ensure continuity of our supportfunction
  • Reviewing, testing and documenting clients system before theirrelease
  • Becoming a trusted advisor to clients on a case by casebasis
  • Oversee and help in configuration of systems to meet the client/specrequirements
  • Working with the management team to continually improve our deliveryprocesses
Topersonally:
  • Be pro-active in maintaining high standards of clientcare
  • Manage efficient use of ICT provision for the company in line with APHs policies
  • Ensure compliance with APHs policies and procedures at alltimes
  • Evaluate own performance and maintain high levels of functionalknowledge
  • Undertake opportunities for learning that enhance your role andcapabilities
  • Attend all required meetings andtraining
  • Travel and stay overnight whenrequired
  • Produce reports, undertake data migration and completion ofdocumentation
  • Complete one-off projects as required by thecompany
What we are looking for: Required experience and skills:
  • Desktop operating systems (Windows 7-1O, MacOS)
  • Windows Server 2008 to 2016 (inc SBS 2007-2011) administration including: Active Directory, DHCP,DNS
  • Office desktop packages 2010-2016 including365.
  • Office 365 Administration
  • Microsoft Exchange 2007 to 2016administration
  • Anti-virus and Anti-malwaretechnologies
  • Understanding of network concepts including, LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi.
  • Excellent interpersonal/intrapersonal skills
  • Demonstrable client awareness skills
  • Ability to self-manage in a fast paced, changing environment
Desirable experience and skills:
  • A knowledge of effectively working within ERP landscape
  • Exposure to Apple/Mac
  • identifying sales opportunities
  • MSP background
  • Smart Appearance
  • UK Driving Licence
  • Flexibility to travel and stay overnight if required
Entry requirements:The entry requirements for this programme are as follows:
  • An A-Level in ICT
  • OR an International Baccalaureate at Level 3 ICT
  • OR an A-Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject
  • OR a BTEC Extended Diploma in IT (180 credits)
Future prospects:92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally, there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.Important Information: QAs apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department for Education.To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
