At our core, our people are working towards the protection of the environment across the globe.Why join usWorking for our business support division, you will provide superb finance and operational analysis and insight to Finance Business Partners and Divisional Directors across the Apem Group.Working alongside the Head of FP&A you will deliver monthly reporting BAU, and ad-hoc reporting of key financial and operational metrics. Your analysis will facilitate business growth by supporting both the commercial finance team and the various divisions/sectorsacross APEM helping them to continue the valuable work they do in protecting the environment and delivering best in class services to our range of clients.About the roleThis is a superb opportunity for an ambitious Accountant with strong analysis skills to take responsibility for reviewing and analysing key business metrics and financial indicators. Over time the models you help refine will highlight strengths and weaknessesin business performance. Using your knowledge and relationships you will be able to understand whether data is a blip, trend or an anomaly. Your work along with the Finance Business Partners will help Directors take action and help to drive profitability andbusiness performance. You will:

  • Produce revenue and margin variance analysis, applying associated insight and challenge, on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Support monthly divisional reporting and review pack collation, and provide insightful analysis
  • Track KPIs and assist with associated reporting
  • Provide insight and analysis during quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting rounds and other planning activities
  • Assist with financial modelling and other analysis, both planned and ad-hoc, as required
  • Develop forecasting/dashboard tools and help drive continuous process improvement of assigned activities
  • Responsibility to produce reliable data to be used for business presentations and related supporting materials used by management
About youWe are looking for a qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) or finalist, someone who is passionate about the environment and the world around us, and who is looking to progress their career in an analytical and commercial role which has real bearing on businessperformance. You will already possess analytical and reporting experience in your current role be that in a pure Finance Analyst role or in a Management Accounting role. You should already have experience analysing budget and revenue performance, carryingout variance analysis and providing insights into the numbers.You will be conscientious and have a real pride on the work you complete. Your analysis and recommendations will be shared up to board level and it is important that you have an eye for detail and accuracy, so your work is trusted by your peers and the board.You will need to possess superb Excel skills and be comfortable manipulating large data sets from multiple sources.
