Our team is spreadacross the UK, and we offer the unique opportunity to support on fieldwork in Scotland, Wales, England, Ireland and worldwide.About the roleYou will be a technical lead for marine fisheries ecology, providing expertise, advice and guidance to colleagues and clients with extensive understanding of marine ecology assessment requirements. Overseeing and providing expert review for a wide rangeof marine ecological assessments completing important work such as commercial fish chapters for EIA work.With the support from your team and a respected Associate Director you will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of tendering activity and all aspects of project delivery including fisheries survey design, stakeholder and client engagement, datareview/data collation, data analysis and interpretation. You will also be able to mentor and manage a team around you, gaining valuable management/leadership skills.About youWe are looking for someone with a strong professional track record in marine fisheries ecology and ecological assessment, preferably within a consultancy setting. You will be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of marine fisheries ecology andassessment with relevant commercial awareness, the successful candidate will have a detailed knowledge and understanding of policy/legislation relevant to marine ecology conservation and its application for marine ecology assessments.You will have prior experience in organising and coordinating marine fisheries surveys and be well versed in both the completion and reviewing of others work for fish and shellfisheries chapters of impact assessments (including HRA, EIA).It would be highly advantageous to have experience of the marine power sector with a good knowledge of the requirements for power station and renewable power (tidal and offshore wind) development assessments including fish entrapment, fish screening andnoise and vibration interpretation.Next stepsWe are focused on creating a diverse and inclusive team.
