This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to contribute to successful project delivery, in our exciting, forward thinking and dynamic company!APEMs central Project Management Office helps drive the efficiency and quality of our business and enterprise projects. We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic PMO Support Officer to join the team and help us grow.The PMO Support Officer will be responsible for supporting the Senior PMO Officer in delivering coaching, training and support to APEMs project management community, as well as collating and analysing data on performance and processes. This is a very hands-onrole involving project administration and liaison, project reviews and reporting as well as involvement in company-wide projects to support the organisation to meet its goals and objectives. There will be a requirement to create formal procedures and supportingtemplates based on topics and processes that may be new to you.The successful applicant will provide vital assistance to our project community. They will help to ensure the successful delivery of our projects to cost, time and quality targets, in line with best practice. This may be through training and coaching orone-to-one hands on project support with new or more experienced PMs. The successful applicant will also provide vital support to the Senior PMO Officer in helping to ensure processes and supporting documents are all up to date, accurate and available.About youAPEM is all about its people, they are at the heart of everything we do, and we seek people who strive to be the best they can be.You will have significant experience working either directly on projects or within a PMO environment, providing support to project managers. Experience of working within a professional services organisation along with previous experience as a trainer orcoach is advantageous.You will be highly organised, self-motivated and able to manage your time effectively to deliver to deadlines. You will be confident in dealing with queries from all areas of the business, and prioritise conflicting demands on your time calmly and with asmile.You will have keen attention to detail and the ability to interpret and analyse data and information.Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, with the ability to produce useful and informative documents to tight deadlines and to confidently deliver training and coaching. You must be adept at developing strong relationships, mostly virtually,in order to support, influence and constructively challenge to achieve amazing outcomes.Every day is different, so you must be comfortable working in new and uncertain environments, be flexible, a team worker, adaptable to changing requirements, and ready to get stuck in!Ideal candidates will also have an interest in improvement work and finding solutions to challenges.Required skills:

  • Substantial Project/PMO experience
  • PRINCE2 desirable
  • Outstanding organisational and planning skills
  • Strong administration skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Excel, IT and system skills
  • Team worker and strong relationship builder
  • Self-motivated, quick to learn, and able to work on own initiative
  • Experience within a professional services organisation advantageous
  • Experience within an integration team/project will be advantageous
  • An environmental background is not essential, but an interest in ecology and environmental issues would be welcomed
