Job Description

Data Entry Maternity Leave (Purchase Ledger Clerk) Meyer Scott Ref: VR/08493Location: Huntingdon (Stukeley Meadows)Salary: £22,000 P.A.Type: Contract until end of 2022 - Maternity coverWell established SME business which has been in Huntingdon for many years and are thriving! They now have an opening for a data entry person to assist with Purchase Ledger.Responsible for the processing of invoices and payments on the Accounts Payable section of the ERP system, as well as general assistance to the finance department.All duties will be explained to you.Main Duties

  • Posting of invoices on to the Accounts Payable section of Syspro
  • Matching supplier invoices to received GRNs
  • Organising the distribution of invoices to relevant people for authorization in a timely manner
  • Liaising with suppliers to obtain credit notes where necessary
  • Reconciliation of supplier accounts and supplier statements
  • Raising payments for invoices as they fall due and obtaining the necessary authorisation
  • Posting of payments on to supplier accounts
  • Fostering a good relationship with suppliers
  • Processing and checking of cash and credit card expense claims
  • Posting of general ledger journals
  • Maintain cash books
  • Assistance with general administration of the finance department
Experience required:
  • At least 1 year of office experience required
  • Training on Meridians ERP system will be provided
Aptitude / Skills required:
  • Well organised, attention to detail, good communication skills
  • At ease with numerical based tasks
  • Able to work under pressure at times and under own initiative
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
Hours: 9am - 5pm
