Job Description

IT Support Technician We are a well-established, family run, manufacturing and janitorial products supplier with our head office based at Greenfield, Oldham.Main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Providing 1st and 2nd line support for all IT related queries and escalating to suppliers or the IT manager where necessary.
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing and problem-solving hardware/software issues for 6 sites.
  • Set-up and configure new hardware/software.
  • Ensuring that security and upgrades including software and licensing on all desktops and laptops are applied and kept up to date.
Key skills and experience:
  • Excellent understanding of PC hardware & operating systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient fault finder and problem solver.
  • Can explain highly complex technical issues in lay-mans terms.
  • Able to remain calm under pressure.
A full UK driving licence is preferred or the willingness to work towards one as there will be travel required between sites.Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week based at our head office.Salary circa £24K - £26K depending on experience.ITST12.21
