Internal Audit - Exeter - Hybrid Are you working in Governance, Risk or Compliance and considering looking a move into more of a 3rd line role in Internal Audit Or are you already in Audit and looking for a fresh challenge Maybe a move away from practice and into a well-established andsmall to medium-sized businessAre you looking for a role that will develop a career in Internal Audit An opportunity to gain exposure to the Executive Committee and the board of the organisation If so I would be really interested to talk.I am exclusively partnered with a Financial Services organisation that are actively recruiting an Internal Auditor to join their team.The role reports directly to the Head of Internal Audit (SMF5) to assist with delivering the annual Internal Audit plan across all areas of the business, including Finance, HR, IT, Marketing, Sales and Operations.The business has experienced significant growth and you would be supporting a newly appointed Head of Internal Audit so a real opportunity exists to make an impact.PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To assist the Head of Internal Audit with delivering the annual Internal Audit Plan including planning and executing audits, reviewing and analysing data, interviewing and consulting employees of all levels, examining business operations and helping toimprove risk management and controls.
The Internal Auditor must be objective and be able to add value and improve operations by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan and deliver internal audits in line with the defined audit processes.
Prepare reports of audit findings and discuss findings with senior management.
Monitor and track audit actions through to completion, working with senior management to achieve deadlines.
Ensure Internal Audit records are kept up to date and accurate.
Assist in the preparation of committee papers and management information requests.
Assist in the annual planning process in order to identify developing areas of concern and to help inform audit planning priorities.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Previous demonstrable experience in a similar role
Working towards or holding IIA Qualifications or have the desire to complete and Internal Audit qualification
Must have the right to work in the UK
