We commit to working Better Together, with Clear Expectations,always Constantly Curious focusing on Health at the Heart.We are now seeking two Apprentice Software Developers to join our dedicated team.Your Role:As an Apprentice Software Developer, you will learn how FDB designs, develops and brings software solutions to market.While youll spend the majority of your time in our Exeter office, youll be required to attend the University of Exeter on three occasions, for up to four days at a time, during the academic year. Youll also spend one day per working week completing universitywork via an online learning environment.Here is just some of what your apprenticeship will involve:- Follow Agile methodologies for the design, development and acceptance of software solutions.- Work collaboratively with the Product Owner to understand the customer requirements and gain an understanding of implementation to inform solution scoping.- Perform critical assessments, challenge assumptions and identify code paths to define acceptance criteria that mitigate potential risk.- Requirements analysis, scoping, specification definition, data analysis and project management as required to meet the needs of the solutions.- Create production code and perform code reviews for the team.- Study for and pass course-related assessments and exams.- You will work closely with your Course and Work mentors and support team to ensure you keep learning and feel supported during this apprenticeship programme.About You:To join us as an Apprentice Software Developer, youll need:- Qualifications must comply with the apprenticeship acceptance levels (BTEC, A-Level or equivalent), achieved either: A levels: BBB; IB: 30; or BTEC: DDM- Minimum GCSE grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics.- Able to present self verbally in a presentation/meeting situation- Good written communication skills, no typos- Previous experience of part time working or volunteering- Time management skills (timeliness, balancing work and study)- A strong desire to develop skills in ITS- Evidence of a strong desire to learn (projects outside of school/college)- Evidence of new subjects or skills learntYour Benefits:- Salary starting at £18,000 per annum plus bonus (up to 5%)- All tuition fees paid for the BSc (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions course- Flexible working hours- 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays with the option to purchase up to 5 more days- Health and Wellbeing allowance- HealthShield flexible health cash-back scheme- Electric Vehicle scheme- Enhanced pension scheme- Cycle to work scheme- Charity days- Enhanced maternity/paternity schemes- Earn your degree whilst gaining valuable industry experience- The chance to play an active role in taking healthcare products to market- The opportunity to continue advancing your career with FDB after youve finished your apprenticeship- and many more!You will have the chance to hone your expertise in an environment that encourages professional development and rewards dedication whilst supporting incredible medical tech.
