Reed Education are currently recruiting for an SEN Primary Teacher, that are looking for their next long term / permanent role.Our client, based near Ely in Cardiff, is a wonderful SEN School that cater for young children between the ages of 3-9 years old, who have Autism. Therefore, someone who has worked with children that are on the Autistic spectrum is preferred, but not essential.They also look at personality and wider life experiences.The school are wanting their next SEN Primary Teacher to be someone that gets involved with their children, who can be patient with their pupils, who will make their pupils feel at ease within their time in education. Some of the children at this schoolare non-verbal and some are verbal but find it difficult to communicate with words – so empathy and understanding are absolutely key attributes that staff working here simply have to have.As a Teacher here, you will be supporting pupils one on one and in small groups. Helping them with their confidence, life skill, their reading, writing, listening .. all to name but a few! You will have a superb team of Teaching Assistants around you, thatwill help you understand and support each child, as each child will come with their own Educational Healthcare Plan (EHCP). This school was last rated ‘Excellent’ by ESTYN and the ETHOS of the school was said to be lived every day, through each pupil.The hours of work will be between 830-1530 Monday to Friday, to start asap.
