Job Description

Admin Assistant at Special School, Cardiff required ASAP !Must have admin experience, training provided!Are you looking for a rewarding and challenging role in a special school setting Do you have excellent Excel skills and the ability to pick up new systems quickly Do you enjoy supportingstaff in a busy environmentIf yes, then we have an exciting opportunity for you!Reed are working with aspecial school in West Cardiff, that caters for pupils with a range of complex needs. We are looking for an admin assistant to join their friendly and supportive team. We have placed a number of candidates within their admin who loveworking with the school alongsideasupportive office manager who will train and helpfrom day one!As an admin assistant, you will:

  • Provide administrative support to the senior leadership team and staff
  • Manage the school’s data and records using Excel and SIMS
  • Handle correspondence, phone calls, and visitors
  • Assist with finance, payroll, and HR tasks
  • Organise meetings, events, and school trips
  • Maintain a safe and welcoming reception area
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Excellent Excel skills and knowledge of SIMS
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive and flexible attitude
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • An enhanced DBS check
This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, subject to satisfactory performance and references. The salary is £22737-23893 FTE, but 39 weeks. As a temp the hourly rate is £11.68-12.68 dependent on experience.
