Job Description

IPS continues to grow and is now widely integrated and embedded withinoperations right across the Culina Group network.We are now recruiting for a proactive Quality Assurance Specialist to join our busy Port Salford depot.Shift: Rotating - 06.00 - 14.00 / 14.00 - 22.00Salary: £25,000 a yearJob DescriptionPrevious experience in the food industry and knowledge of Food Safety and GMP protocols are essential. The role will be responsible for checking, safeguarding and executing safety procedures related to food storage, handling and packaging while ensuring that the business is compliant with Food Safety and GMP protocols. The QA Specialist will be carryingout and recording related audits across the production area, and will play a key role in shaping a safe behaviour of the employees and supporting functions of the operation.Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for day-to-day quality audit checks on production lines
  • Issuing of technical documentation including specification to production line
  • Performing and recording various product quality checks
  • Carrying out of routine technical audits, including environmental swabbing, glass and plastics, weekly scales validation etc.
  • Assisting into the investigation of NCRs and capture the relevant information
  • Responsible for the positive release of materials as and when required
  • Attending departmental meetings
  • Working with the site team in challenging operational procedures to maximize the site efficiency
  • Promoting best practice within the site for quality
  • Undertaking such other duties as may be required from time to time, that reasonable fall within the scope and the grade of the post
Qualifications
  • Food Manufacturing background
  • Knowledge of Food Safety and GMP protocols.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety obligations
  • HACCP awareness
  • A good working knowledge of MS Office (including email, word and excel).
  • Good Level of Maths
