Job Description

Reed Further Education are currently looking for a Sports Teacher for a college based in Manchester.Role: Sports TeacherLocations: ManchesterHours: Full-time equivalentContract type: Permanent (All year round)Salary: £26,444-£43,795 (Dependant on experience)What the role entailsThis is an exciting opportunity to join a focused and ambitious Sport and Uniformed Protective Services Department as a Teacher of Sport. We are looking for a motivated and innovative individual to support the academic achievement of our students with aparticular focus on themes relating to sports science. The college offers Sport courses from Level 1 to Level 3, with a strong emphasis on high standards and expectations and a sharp focus on progression.What we need from youTo be successful in the role, you will need:

  • A teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd or equivalent) preferably with an SEN specialism
  • Hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
  • Track record of effective teaching in subject specialism
  • Gain/hold and maintain a clean, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
