Job Description

We have a current opportunity for a Gas Assessor on a temporary to permanent basis. The position will be based in Greater Manchester For further information about this position please apply.

Purpose: Responsible for the set up and management of all Gas related training for group members and on a commercial basis including the delivery of Gas Apprenticeships against National Occupational Standards, ensuring timely achievement of qualifications.Key Responsibilities:
  • To secure centre approval from the awarding body
  • To deliver ASC Training and Assessments
  • To deliver Manage Learning Program to Gas Standard
  • Identify training needs through feedback or performance
  • Generate income through the delivery of gas related training on a commercial basis.
  • Visiting learners in the workplace and assessing them as part of their ACS and/or NVQ qualifications to ensure the successful outcomes, in line with contractual requirements and targets
  • Prepare, agree and review assessment plans with each learner. Create learner portfolios to agreed target standards and ensure they are submitted on time
  • Visit candidates in the workplace to provide support, prepare action plans, undertake assessments and provide feedback on performance
  • Efficient and effective operation of the assessment process in line with Company policy relating to quality and the requirements of the awarding body representatives
  • Manage and maintain learner folders in line with audit requirements
  • Assist with development of the provision to ensure the programme is up to date
  • Promote apprenticeships, train to gain and full cost recovery initiatives with employers including encouragement of progression routes. Maintain knowledge of funding streams and eligibility criteria
  • Support the invigilating of the CSCS testing
  • To attend conferences, career fayres and promotional events when required to raise awareness.
  • To support the continued development of the Employment & Enterprise Service and work closely with the Employment & Enterprise Services Lead to identify new commercial opportunities.
Qualifications Required:
  • GCSE or equivalent standard in Maths and English
  • Evidence of continuing professional development (desirable)
  • A1/V1
  • PTTLS (or equivalent)
  • L3 Domestic Gas Utilisation
