Job Description

Are you a Social Media Strategy blackbelt with the ability to direct overarching strategy to achieve brand and company goalsIf so this newly created role could be for you. Based just outside of Belfast this international EdTech company is looking for a Social Media Strategist to spearhead their campaigns and strategy. You will be comfortable engaging with senior stakeholdersand can demonstrate an understanding of the social media landscape, trends and how to maximise opportunities and reach. This role comes with hybrid working flexibility.About the RoleWorking closely with the Chief Marketing Officer, Content Strategist, Marketing DataAnalyst and divisional Campaign Managers, you will:

  • Own the development of a social media strategy, paid acquisition strategy and community engagement strategy along with their associated budgets for the business
  • Bring to life our social-first brand activation campaigns in partnership with third party agencies
  • Align owned and paid social media plans with divisional marketing plans and the overall business objectives of our different geographies
  • Use social media to present the business as an authoritative voice in the Education and Workplace spaces, showcasing our impact and areas of expertise
  • Provide inspirational and creative leadership on ways to reach and gain attention of current and potential new audiences
  • Provide leadership on the best use of social media channels to meet business needs, staying abreast of any trends, updates, new releases and algorithm changes across all of the channels we use
  • Act as a guardian of theparent brand and sub-brands on social channels to allow them to be represented in line with our brand strategy
  • Work with the Marketing Data Analyst to define, measure, and analyse relevant KPIs and deliver tailored reporting to the wider group marketing team and company stakeholders
  • Lead on the demonstration of social media ROI to senior team and board
  • Manage and lead the Social Media Manager as they execute on the day-to-day earned and paid social activity across all channels
  • Share insights, relevant information and feedback from social media on the business or the industries in which we operate, with the wider business in a timely way
  • Be confident in taking the lead in handling objections or dealing with any crisis communications as they may arise on social platforms
  • Harness Employee Advocacy to increase brand awareness, reach and engagement
About YouEssential Criteria
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant marketing discipline
  • 5+ years of experience (preferably in a B2B market) leading social media strategy, building brand equity and community management, preferably for an established brand with an active community
  • 5+ years experience (preferably in a B2B market) leading paid acquisition strategy planning and budget management constantly optimising channels, formats, placements and bidding
  • Experience with social media management and measurement platforms including but not limited to Sprout Social/Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Google Data Studio
Desirable Criteria
  • Evidence of collaborating with different departments, across different geographies to deliver creative and integrated digital marketing campaigns
  • Ability to balance brand with business while focusing on the customer
  • Market leading knowledge of emerging trends across social media platforms
