REED are delighted to support our client who wishes to recruit a Health, Safety & Facilities Manager to join the team at theirwarehouse distribution centre. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional to leadsafety from the front, with a proactiveapproach to keepemployees and colleagues safe at all times. Alongside this they will manage an efficient and effective facilities programme.Health & Safety Design and implement the SHE Operational StrategicPlanensuring compliance with both Company&Customer requirements Lead safety and health campaigns engaging teams &managers to develop a pro-active safety culture Lead and maintain the SHE Communications platforms Support Leadership team with investigations &give clear direction regarding recommendations for improvement and sanctions Ensure Contractor and Visitor safety at all times when on site Maintenance of all Health and Safety files including auditing Preparation and support for internal and external customer audits Ensure the operational budget is carefully monitored &apply timely corrective action to ensure cost control and budget achievement Provision of accurate &detailed statistical reporting as requested Responsible for leading &contributing to project management &developing a Lean mindset and continuous improvement culture Deliver monthly & quarterly feedback directly to customer in their preferred format Responsible for management of Training Instructor and delivery of trainingFacilities management Manage effective &efficient site facilities services to Wincanton standards across a full range of needs Develop &manage a clearly defined PPM strategy to ensure all site assets are maintained to required standards Utilise on-site &third-party support contractors information &data to execute various forms of maintenance, condition based / calendar based / run-time analysis to execute the maintenance plan Procure new suppliers and contractors within Wincantons new supplier policies and procedures Contractor management including contractor induction, permits to work and works inspection Investigate issues within role scope to establish root cause and instigate corrective action - technical fault-findingCriteria NEBOSH or NCRQ qualification Level 3 or equivalent Proven experience of managing health and safety in a large complex operation. Experience of working in distribution Knowledge of HSE Codes, policies and procedures Proven people management skills including daily management and career development Leading and delivering LEAN/Continuous Improvement initiatives Experience of working to and achieving specific targets and deadlines Experience of understanding and delivering H&S legislation to others Development &embedding of Health and Safety-First culture Managing change projects &engaging with employees Creating &maintaining SSOW for all processes IT &facilities management systems literate Collation, analysis &presentation/reporting of technical facilities data for internal and external audiences Contractor procurement &supervisionDesirable Experience working in a management role in distribution / warehouse environment with working knowledge of H&S Extensive knowledge of Health & Safety legislationThe PackageCompetitive salary, excellent benefits, healthcare and pension
