Assistant Accountant- Antrim- £30,000 per annumReed Recruitment is excited to be working in partnership with a local distribution company based in Antrim. Due to expansion our client has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.Key Responsibilities: Assisting with Monthly management accounts P& L Reconciliations Bank Reconciliations Quarterly reconciliation of Balance sheet accounts VAT returns HRMC enquiries Accurate Financial information and reports, including departmental requests on spend HMRC Intrastat returns General accounting duties to include credit control, purchase ledger, sales ledger and banking Liaising with HR Department Audit PreparationEssential Criteria: 5 years experience within a Finance Department Good communication skills. Ability to work alone and as part of a team Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook Detail orientated, highly organised with the ability to work to deadlines. Very focused and diligent, high level of attention to detailDesirable Criteria Part Qualified Accountant or Accounting TechnicianBenefits Onsite parking 34 days holidays Death in service benefit Cycle to work scheme.
