Job Description

I am currently looking for a Senior Network Administrator for my client that is based in the Cardiff area.Senior Network AdministratorCardiff £35,000-£40,000Role-

  • Responsible managing the network hardware Asset Register
  • Configuration of routers/switches for existing environment and new Environments
  • Pro-actively seek to improve efficiencies in all operational areas
  • Work alongside the Network Architect Manager on technical changes and implementations to the infrastructure of end user clients
  • Provide an On-Call function (on a 24/7/365 rota basis) to support the business needs outside of office hours, this consists of dealing with any individual user as well as major incident management
  • Assist Supporting all infrastructure and corporate applications
  • Create and maintain network infrastructure documentation
  • The person will take ownership of the network and security solutions providing technical backup to the IT management.
  • Provide assistance to internal and external personnel in the use Network & Security for the building
  • This person will provide Wi-Fi support for the resort working with vendors to ensure resort has best availability and limited down time in services by using analytics and knowledge to highlight and fix issues.
General Duties-
  1. Responsible for helping to maintain a customer-focused culture which support the values expressed in the Resort Ambition and the Resorts business goals of profitability and service quality.
  1. Establishes and maintain effective and positive relationships within the team as well as other departments.
  1. Complies with Health and safety, Hygiene policies as well as all other resort policies and procedures.
  1. Report all situations that may present a danger to guests or staff immediately to the relevant people and take action to rectify the situation if possible.
  1. To ensure that resources are used effectively, minimising waste to protect our environment and to reduce costs.
  1. To perform related duties and special assignments as and when required.
Responsible for -
  • Responsible for communication through effective writing, speaking and listening skills. To encourage employees to actively participate in our progress through decision making and ideas.
  • Responsible for regular dissemination of information which is to encompass organisational and individual activities.
  • Responsible for the leadership of the team and individuals including frequent periods of internal/external customer contact to attain feedback on individual and departmental performance. You will also be responsible for internal/external complaint handling,for feeding back information to employees in a positive and constructive way. Also, providing solutions.
  • Responsible for communicating the overall Resort and departmental goals and objectives and ensuring all employees are motivated to achieving these.
  • Responsible for conducting daily weekly and monthly strategic departmental meetings, minuting these meetings and distributing the minutes to the employees.
