Job Description

They are committed to innovation and the continual pursuit of improvement,and with a brand holding over 100 years of service they are now developing their technology capabilities, venturing into new markets and building their customer base further.Exciting opportunities have become available for Team Members to join the manufacturing team at our Advanced Blade Casting Facility (ABCF) at Rotherham on a 12-month contractThe ABCF is focused on high volume single crystal HP and IP turbine blade manufacture for large civil Trent product; employing world class automated processes, integrated manufacturing systems and advanced measurement techniques.Key Accountabilities

  • To perform Manufacturing/Operational tasks for which they have been trained in line with the requirements of the team, statutory and company standards (e.g. HS&E RRQMS and RRPS) including the manufacture and assembly of components limited only by trainingand authority.
  • Establish Process Excellence through the systematic application of process improvement and compliance methodologies in order to satisfy customer needs and cost reduction targets.
  • The Team Member will contribute to the production plans in order to meet the customer requirements.
  • Develop cost reduction/operational improvements in order to satisfy customer needs.
  • The Team member must contribute to performance targets ensuring they are visible and kept up to date.
  • Determine asset/core maintenance routines in order to ensure assets are safe and reliable to a high performance standard.
  • Ensures a high standard of professionalism at all time.
  • Determine how to effectively induct new members into the team and engage in cross training of the team where required.
  • Work with other team members in order to deliver Team Objectives and Requirements.
  • The Team Member will provide administrative support within the area
The successful candidate will demonstrate some or all of the following experience.
  • Significant levels of flexibility as training is required across multiple sites within the UK
  • Experience of a production environment
  • Taking responsibility for their own development with focus on team skills
  • Has rotated across a team and has experience of support or champion roles.
  • Has been involved in improvement initiatives.
